Mathieu GRIALOU graduated in 1999 from ENSICA (National Higher School of Aerospace Engineering). After a few years working in the field of telecommunications, he joined the Embassy of France in Japan and worked for CNES (French National Space Center, also known as the French Space Agency), as the director of its Tokyo Office. He joined CNES International Affairs Directorate in Paris in 2014, where he coordinated the cooperation with the United States, Asia and the Middle-East. In 2019, he was appointed to the European Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, where he was in charge of satellite preparation operations during launch campaigns for Ariane-5, Soyuz and Vega rockets. Since September 2022, he is working in Beijing as CNES Representative and Counsellor for Space Affairs in the Embassy of France. He is an ISU (International Space University) alumnus (SSP16).
